Figure 1. (a) Participants’ evaluation of the benefits of the Biotechnology Short Course and Workshop. (b) Perceived applicability of the short course materials to senior high school biology instruction. (c) Perceived applicability of the laboratory workshop activities for senior high school biology practical sessions.

Participant feedback showed that the Short Course & Biotechnology Workshop was highly beneficial. Nearly 100% of participants agreed that the program was useful. In addition, 86.4% strongly agreed and 13.6% agreed that the short course materials could be applied in senior high school biology teaching. For the laboratory workshop, 59.1% strongly agreed, 36.4% agreed, and only 4.5% disagreed that the practical skills could be implemented in their schools.

Figure 2. Percentage of Short Course Topics Preferred by Participants.

Figure 3. Percentage of Workshop Topics Preferred by Participants.

Participants’ preferred short course topics were Central Dogma of Molecular Biology and Microbial Culture and Growth (36.4% each), reflecting their relevance to the senior high school biology curriculum. In the laboratory workshop, PCR and Electrophoresis was the most popular practical session (45.5%), followed by Fruit DNA Isolation (36.4%) and Bacterial Inoculation and Gram Staining (18.2%).
